We’re so looking forward to our interview with you. We wanted to explain a bit more about the positions that we have this summer and what we’re looking for in our crew.
We’re looking for independent contractors to join our event team this year! You won’t have typical set hours. We have an app with all the different jobs listed, and you can sign up for the events that you want to work. Events are mainly on weekends and can be anywhere from 1 hour worth of work to 7-8 hours.
Duties would include, but not be limited to:
Delivering rentals to various locations within an hour or two (maximum) of Portland, using either your own vehicle (with reimbursement) or the company box truck.
Working with a crew to set up everything from farm tables and chairs to lawn games and linens and everything in between.
On occasion, we might need crew to help with order prep and clean up at the warehouse in outer Southeast Portland. This would involve pulling inventory, helping clean and pack inventory, and assist in loading the truck as needed.
We pay per event at about $20 an hour. Sometimes more, but never less
Meals provided for full event days
We’re looking for someone who can take direction easily, has a positive attitude and can provide their own transportation.
We’re on our feet a lot, and sometimes we’re loading heavy things, so a strong back is a must.
Open availability on most weekends during the summer.
Potential for part time employment (not strictly contract work) in the next 2 years.
